The grapes will be delivered to your event where you can have your very own grape stomp! A good stomp will macerate the fruit and maximize a wine's color and flavor potential. Wine grapes ripen toward the end of summer. However, being a non-climacteric fruit, they may be picked at peak ripeness and cold stored until the date of your event. Great occasions for a Great Grape Stomp include weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions, parties, corporate events, and Saturdays. Your wine may also be made in advance to serve at such events.
Great wines are born from great vines. The Great Grape Stomp will help you to identify what type of wine you'd like to make. Keep in mind, red wines have a greater aging potential over whites and rosés, due to their profiles of tannin that polymerize over time. We will broker a vineyard contract and arrange for proper quality-minded picking, storing, and transportation of the fruit to and from your event. Grapes are subject to availability.
You can choose to work through one of our preferred wineries, or we can attempt to contract a location closer to home. The stomp will use ~1000 lbs of grape and will yield ~one barrel, or ~300 bottles of wine.
For a more intimate winemaking experience, The Great Grape Stomp can set you up with an at home operation - You are the winemaker.
The design of the finished product is customizable, and will be returned 1 year after it's crush party. The Great Grape Stomp can help to store and distribute the wine as requested.
